Seoul, Korea –
Star K is identified as “Sam Dong”
KBS 2TV’s Monday-Tuesday drama series Dream High, which became a hot issue because Hanryu stars Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young underwent mutual understanding, ended.
According to the AGB Nielson Research on the 1st, Dream High’s last episode, which was aired the day before, finished with an audience rating of 17.2%.
On the last episode, the future of Girin Arts High School students after seven years was drawn, and the “K Pendant’s” protagonist was revealed as Sam Dong (played by Kim Soo Hyun).
Sam Dong passed an audition held by the world-renowned music recording company, EMG, and received the opportunity to debut in the United States, but while he worried greatly about leaving Hye Mi (played by Suzy) behind, she sincerely persuaded Sam Dong to “become more stunning.”
The two parted with an affectionate kiss at a bus station, and the series happily ended with Sam Dong eventually becoming the world’s greatest star and being awarded a Grammy at the 2018 Grammy Awards ceremony.
Even though there were worries about the acting skills of the ‘idols’ who starred in Dream High, including 2PM’s Taec Yeon and Woo Young, IU, T-ara’s Eunjung, and Miss A’s Suzy, the exceptional acting skills of protagonists Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Byeong Joon, supporting actor Park Jin Young, and cameo actors complemented any insufficiencies and dispelled the viewers’ concerns.
Other TV shows that were aired at the same time, including MBC TV’s The Duo and SBS TV’s Midas, received 14.0% and 10.5% audience ratings, respectively.
